This calculator is one of a series of calculators, that resemble the usage of the popular Voyager calculators, made by Hewlett-Packard in the eigthies.
Most emulators for these calculators try to copy the look and feel of the original hardware, in every detail.
This series tries to improve to look and feel, given that this calculator is expected to be used on a mobile device.

The main limitations, where these calculators try to improve the original hardware, fall into 4 groups:

• limited LCD screen
  Multiple registers/lines are shown, with much more clarity. This is most obvious in the programming display, which has replaced the keycode-instructions with much more readable text instructions.
• amount available RAM
  Modern mobile devices have virtualy infinte memory, so limits on numbers of registers/program instructions have been removed. Limits on the number of flags may soon be follow.
• static hardware keyboard
  The keyboard is now created on a hi-res touch-screen. This allows the program to alter the keyboard on-the-fly. This is mainly use to add information, given the state of the calculator.
• JavaScript number system JavaScript uses a number system with a larger range, than the original Voyager calculators. This system includes NaN (Not-a-Number), and Infinity, which are used by this emulator series.

The manuals of the original devices are still the main source of information on the usage of these calculators. The next section describes the main changes to the manual.

Where the original code tries to copy the use of the original hardware as good as possible, this calculator tries to improve the useability of the calculator.

WARNING

This is work in progress. Changes have been made to improve the functionality of the calculator, but changes may not be complete. For example, the calcuator can calulate in the full range of numbers in JavaScript, but the user is currently not able to enter that full range.
